It’s being reported today that Torqauy United have appointed former player Steve Tully to a position in our youth department.

Former Gull, Exeter City and Weymouth defender Tully has decided to embark upon the start of a career in coaching at the age of 33 and he has been appointed as our new Academy Youth Phase coach and will be in charge of our under 12-16 age groups.

He replaces Malcolm Moore who left the role earlier in the season.

Speaking about the appointment head of youth Geoff Harrop said that although Tully didn’t have a lot of coaching experience, he does have great playing experience and was always a good professional and he’s engaging with the youngsters so it should be a good fit, and a good start in coaching for him.

I believe he will continue in his role as the coach of the Ladies team as well.
