Current top scorer Ryan Bowman has said he’s confident that he can break the 20 goal barrier this season and help us into the Conference Premier Play Offs.

Having signed a two year contract last summer, the striker is getting a good run under manager Chris Hargreaves and he’s providing the return we’d want in the penalty box, and speaking to the Western Morning News after already bagging himself eleven across all competitions, the 23 year old explained.

‘I’m very confident that we will do something this season – definitely get in the play offs. I set myself a target of 20 goals at the start and I think I’m on target now for that.’

Bowman goes on to say that having developed more since his time at Hereford where he bagged 19 goals two years back, he’s more than confident that he can go at least one, if not more, better this campaign and if he can manage it he will be the first to reach that total since Tim Sills who grabbed himself 21 goals back in the 2007-08 season.

Having hit form at the right time, he also said that sharing a house at the moment with another known goalscorer Louis Briscoe, they are always talking about scoring and relative experience and how for a striker life can be very up and down when it comes to hitting the back of the net, but overall despite some wobbles and hiccups he says the camp is confident still of their chances this campaign, they just need to get back to consistently showing it on the pitch.
