Chairman Thea Bristow has thanked the fans for turning out in their numbers in recent games, as especially at this time of year a run of five home games in three weeks would test the finances of most.

Speaking to the Official Site following on from the last home game against Halifax, Bristow said that when you compared our attendance levels to lowly gates elsewhere in the Conference on that evening, she was delighted to see almost 1500 fans through the gates again and thanked them for their efforts.

‘I would like to put on record my thanks to the fans who attended our win over Halifax last week. We are grateful to all those who have supported us over the first half of the season and the atmosphere at home has been a tremendous boost to the players, even more so on our travels.’

Bristow goes on to say that especially with the conditions last Tuesday, the efforts of the fans was definitely appreciated by manager Chris Hargreaves and the team because the healthy crowd gave everybody a pitch.

As ever, despite last season’s disappointment, Bristow was looking forward again and added.

‘It has certainly been eventful over the first few months of the campaign and I can’t wait for more drama over the second half of the season.’
