There’s no official confirmation yet that I can see, but it’s being reported that Torquay have secured a loan extension for young Brighton forward Shamir Goodwin.

The player has been with us on an initial one month loan spell and manager Chris Hargreaves has been pleased with his efforts in that time, so agreement has been sought with Brighton and Hove Albion for the striker to extend his time with us for a two month period.

The loan may be extended for a third time depending on his progress.

So far since joining us, Goodwin has made one start and one substitute appearance, and the 19 year old will no doubt be hoping to build on that over the coming weeks.

It’s believed that Hargreaves is also hopeful of securing an extension for fellow on loan striker Jordan Stockley from Bournemouth.
