Manager Chris Hargreaves has said that Torquay United have now reached a watershed moment in this season, and against Fleetwood Town three points are absolutely crucial and we simply must take advantage of the fact that they have been struggling to score of late, and not become the perfect opposition they would want to get back on track for their promotion push.

Speaking to the Official Site Hargreaves said that he has spent plenty of time looking at them for weaknesses, but again against Newport in their last match as they bid to get their own form back on track, they have been trying different combinations and formations so it has made him difficult to set us up because we don’t know for sure which of the four formations they will utilise from their last four games.

However, he also appreciates that formations aren’t the be all and end all of games, and if we are set up right and react sensibly on the day, we are capable of dealing with them and reacting to however they set up and that will be our focus.

‘We will pick our shape on Saturday and try to play to our strengths. We want to assert ourselves in the game, be on the front foot and get the fans right behind us. We will enjoy the battle because this is how it has to be.’

The gaffer goes on to say that the players really are giving their all in training and he can’t ask any more of them other than to get the results we want and need.

In a separate interview the gaffer also commented on the praise that we have often received from opposition manager’s where they have credited our performances, efforts and everything else because they were happy to having come away with a result themselves.

What the gaffer wants now is for opposition managers to hate speaking well of us because we have just taken the points off them.
