Assistant manager Lee Hodges has said he feels very positive about Torquay’s pre season progress so far following on from our second win of the summer over Dorchester.

Three second half goals gave us victory, and Hodges told the Official Site that for him it was a very pleasing performance.

‘We played some excellent football and fully deserved the win. Aaron Downes scored the first with a header from a corner and that got us under way. Louis Briscoe added number two with another header and then a close range effort from trialist Courtney Baker-Richardson came from a sweet cross by Jordan Chapell.’

Hodges goes on to say that the most pleasing thing for him was the fact that all of the boys looked very fit and they looked sharp which is a bonus at this stage of our preparations, but equally the young lads who were given a game didn’t look out of place so he feels we have some ‘terrific promise’ for the future.

As of yet I can’t find any confirmation for starting line ups or substitutes, but the teamsheet was tweeted as including.

Aaron Downes, Krystian Pearce, Luke Young, Ben Harding, Louis Briscoe, Courtney Cameron, Ashley Yeoman, Duane O’Archie, Levi Ives, Jamie Alexmodru, Angus MacDonald, Sam Chainey, Jordan Chapell.
