Alan Knill has reflected on two sloppy goals and a poor refereeing performance in our 3-1 loss to Oxford yesterday.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, the manager said.

‘It was a very disappointing result and it looked like an even game in the first half, which I thought we shaded. In the second half, their quality outshone ours. There was always hope because I thought we were a threat but you can’t defend like we did. I have to say the same thing happened in the same fixture last year and Oxford are obviously a team at the top of the league, and we’re a team trying to get there.’

Knill adds that it was good to test ourselves against them to see where we lie, but on the day we came up short, but he feels we are close to really challenging especially if we get some luck on decisions along the way.
