Alan Knill has said the Royal Marines proved to be a really good exercise as Torquay opened our pre season campaign.

Speaking to the Official Site following our 4-0 win at Plainmoor on Friday, that saw goals from Billy Bodin, Aaron Downes and Ashley Yeoman, the manager said.

‘It was a good exercise. I wasn’t sure who we were playing or how good they would be, but it was just good to be back on the pitch and running around. At times we looked rusty, and at times we looked good. There is plenty of work still do be done.’
