Manager Alan Knill was quite sombre following our two nil defeat to Chesterfield yesterday, especially as the game was nigh on beyond us before we’d even completed the first 20 minutes of the match.

Speaking to the Official Site Knill didn’t really try and hide his disappointment at how the day went for us and he knows we definitely have to improve our form on home soil.

‘We had a disappointing game last week and it was another one yesterday. We played reasonably well in the first half but we came in 2-0 down. It wasn’t great goals from them, just poor play by us and that’s been our story so far this season. For us to turn the situation around, we have to be better than that.’

Facing a resurgent Accrington Stanley is going to be no easy test either in our next match, but again goals change games and we are struggling in that department again, but we don’t seem to be struggling when it comes to conceding goals whatever our injury problems may have been.

The frustration for Knill is what the team are capable of is pretty apparent, but we just don’t seem to be able to show that often enough or with enough consistency.

With results pretty up and down, and with us sitting in 23rd place we certainly need to change things around with our league form, but Knill knows we do have enough games left for that to happen so he’s not overly panicking at this stage but obviously the sooner we can get a run of wins together the better.
