Alan Knill has called for the players to repeat their performance from mid week as we see out the season.

Speaking to the Official Site Knill knows Morecambe is an important game for us as it could secure our safety ahead of the final game of the season.

‘We said after Tuesday’s game, whoever you are against, if you play with tempo, energy and aggression, it will be a difficult game for anybody because we’ve got some quality in the team. We have to play that away and it has to be like Tuesday night all the time. If you do that you give yourself a real chance to beat anybody.’

Knill says that if we replicate that performance he believes we are more than capable of taking maximum points from the remaining two games and securing our league status for this season.

Adding that Tuesday’s game put our futures right back in our own hands where we wanted it, so we don’t have to worry about anybody else now, we just have to focus on ourselves.

‘The priority was staying in the league, my only remit was to help the club avoid going down.’
