Alan Knill has said he wants to see Torquay keep their attacking mentality when we face Portsmouth.

Speaking to the Official Site Alan Knill talked about the chances we created against Hartlepool and the way we dominated the game without actually getting the full rewards, but he feels if we keep performing like that, the rewards will come.

‘On another day some of those don’t get cleared off the line and go in the net. As long as we’re creating chances, I’m happy because we weren’t creating anything a few weeks ago. I feel we’re moving in the right direction. We know we have some quality, but you often see games where one team dominates and doesn’t score. The good thing for us was we created chances and also didn’t lose.’

Knill added that he was disappointed to hear boos in the game.

‘I saw so many positives but the players got booed. Don’t get me wrong, if it was a poor performance, I expect that. If it’s not a poor performance and the players have tried everything possible to win, that’s different.’
