Midfielder Damon Lathrope has left Torquay for a months loan spell at Hereford United.

The 24 year old made his debut for them in their game against Chester FC last Tuesday. They drew the game two all and he picked up a booking for his efforts.

With him struggling to figure in manager Alan Knill’s plans this season, the spell out will give him the chance for some regular action and to keep his confidence and sharpness up.

Since joining us from Norwich back in the summer of 2010 he has gone on to make 78 starts for the club, with a further 27 appearances from the bench and he hasn’t yet found the net.

He has however played seven times for us so far this season.

Apparently Hereford’s supporters’ club are paying his wages during his spell with them, so let’s hope he gives them something to cheer about.
