Manager Chris Hargreaves has made a number of decisions on the playing staff for next campaign – here’s a round up of those who have left so far.

We’ll start with one player remaining, Angus MacDonald has obviously signed a new one year deal with the club seeing him through next season.

Having been in impressive form for the gaffer, he was rewarded very early with the new deal.

Duane Ofori-Acheampong has also now left the club following the expiry of his existing contract. He leaves having made sixteen starts and fourteen appearances from the bench, with a return of six goals.

Hargreaves explained at the time that the decision was mutual as O’Archie wanted to move closer to his family in London, as it had been a difficult year for him, and equally we weren’t going to renew his deal.

Elliot Benyon and Dale Tonge have also been released having been informed that they wouldn’t be offered new deals themselves.

Benyon ends his second spell at Plainmoor having made 46 appearances for us, scoring three times. Tonge leaves having made 56 appearances all campaign.

Goalkeeper Martin Rice has also left after a mutual agreement was struck to see him depart.

The official released list for the campaign now reads.

Elliot Benyon
Dale Tonge
Duane Ofori-Acheampong
Martin Rice
Krystian Pearce
Courtney Cameron
Aaron Downes
Mickey Parcell
Tom Cruise

With a number of players potentially up for new deals, Hargreaves confirmed that deals had been offered to Toby Ajala, Levi Ives and Daniel Lavercombe but everybody else faces a waiting game.

Outwith that, earlier today, two scholars in the shape of Liam Prynn and Oneil Odofin have now signed their first professional contracts with the club.

Striker Prynn, Head Boy for the youth department scored 23 goals at that level this season and also made four substitute appearances for the first team.

Defender Odofin also made his first team debut in 2014-15 and both players have now signed one year deals with the club.
