It’s being reported that Torquay have accepted a deal for 16 year old Liam Prynn, and he will now move to Aston Villa’s Academy.

Villa’s interest in the player was confirmed a few weeks ago, and after negotiations it’s believed that Torquay have accepted an upfront fee in the region of £50,000 and the club will be in line for further payments should he progress into their first team in the future.

Prynn was due to start a two year scholarship at Plainmoor when the season begins again, but he has been on trial with the Premiership side and they have been further impressed with his talent.

Chief Executive Andrew Candy told the Herald Express.

‘As I understand it, the terms have been agreed and all parties are happy about the situation. The deal is good news for the club, and for Liam and his family.’
