Assistant manager John Ramshaw has said that leading one nil against Wrexham in midweek, he never saw three goals coming from them as we were comfortable and not in any danger.

In quotes carried by the Torquay Herald Express our assistant gaffer admitted that he was hugely disappointed to see us throw the game away in the manner that we did.

‘The reaction at Wrexham was disappointment and frustration, because I didn’t think we looked in any real danger until we gifted them a goal early in the second half. They had the bulk of possession, yes, but it was all in front of us – they weren’t really hurting us or getting into goalscoring situations. We thought they might be vulnerable at set-pieces, so we’d worked on that and we took the lead at a corner. But then we gifted them an equaliser – there was a mix-up between two of our young players – and they came alive after that.’

Ramshaw also confirmed that youngster Liam Prynn had headed out for a loan spell with Southern League side Bideford to get more first team experience.

The Official Site also have Ramshaw talking about on loan duo Josh Carmichael and Joe Quigley.

‘They are talented young lads. We`ve enjoyed working with them since they got here and hopefully we can keep them here longer than their initial month. It`s a win-win situation for everyone involved; they are both highly regarded by their parent club but need the kind of competitive match experience that we can offer them at this level as opposed to Under-21 football. This is the ideal learning curve for them and good for us too as we get the benefits of having them in our team.’
