It has been confirmed by Torquay manager Martin Ling, as he told the official website, that Eunan O’Kane will hold talks with Crawley about a move to the league one side.

A ‘release clause’ was inserted into his last contract and this has been reached by Crawley although Ling isn’t ruling out the option of him staying with The Gulls: ‘when Eunan signed a new contract both he and his agent requested a release clause to be included, which we were happy to insert because we wanted Eunan to stay.

‘We also felt the release clause would ensure our value of Eunan would be met. Crawley Town have now fulfilled that criteria, allowing Eunan to discuss a deal with them next week.

‘He is currently away on holiday and comes back to England on Monday, but this doesn’t mean Eunan O’Kane is definitely going and they are the only club to have met the criteria of the release clause at this moment in time.’

Maybe its not nailed on that the Irish U21 winger will leave although the chances are he will and I’d imagine most Torquay fans are resigned to this?
