Torquay have today appointed legend Kevin Nicholson as our new player manager following the departure of Paul Cox.
The 34 year old is practically fixtures at the club having appeared over 300 times in his seven year spell with us before leaving.
Chairman David Phillips told the Official Site of his appointment.
‘We are delighted to have Kevin on board as player-manager. As a player for the club, he displayed outstanding consistency over many years and is quite rightly regarded as a Legend here. We now welcome him back as player-manager to lead the club into what we hope will be an exciting new era.’
The club have arranged a formal press conference for his media introduction at noon tomorrow, and there has been a fans’ forum arranged at Plainmoor for fans to meet the returnee at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
