In an unusual move I, as a Pompey fan, would like to offer us some credit to our opponents and victors to Fratton Park on Saturday, Torquay.

Pompey were absolutely diabolical, and if we are going to continue like that for the remainder of the season we will continue to struggle and could well go down – on that evidence, with another poor showing on our part, we would deserve too…

Hats off to Torquay though mind.

The Gulls deserved their win; on that evidence we should have got Chris Hargreaves as our manager, who will keep them up I reckon! They were much hungrier, showed more desire and most of all an interested in attacking positively from the off.

You would have thought they were the home side the way they started the game, with the qualities mentioned above. They wanted it, they were up for it and got the rewards – even, defending what they had they did this well to be fair and without panic.

It is a sad state of affairs when the most excitement – from a Pompey point of view – was a fox wandering around Fratton, making his way across the Milton End, along the North Lower (passing right next to me) before heading out the Fratton exit to the car park- maybe he had the right idea!

Respect to Torquay, and good luck to you guys who will have every chance to stay up if you keep going like that.
