Following the capture of Shaun Cooper, manager Chris Hargreaves has said that he hasn’t yet finished his business for the January window.

With a couple of weeks left in this window for permanent transfers, Hargreaves explained to the Official Site that he fully expected a few more new faces to arrive at Plainmoor over the coming weeks and although he has been very impressed with the calibre and attitude of the players we have at the club, he does still want to continue to improve us with fresh faces.

‘We are looking to strengthen every day. I’m really happy with what I’ve got, and if we can get the right people into help, we’ll do it.’

Hargreaves said it really does depend on who is available, and if Cooper does prove to be his last addition he has no problems or issues with moving forward with the squad as it stands because they have been fantastic in their attitude since he arrived here, but just like he asks them to improve each day as they train, that’s his attitude to the overall playing squad as well.

He does add though that he does expect more to come in, because he knows the value of competition and as he’s considering different formations for different oppositions and parts of a game, he knows we’ll probably need some additional cover in various areas, and that’s what he’s focusing on.
