Gulls Boss Keeps Belief

Former Manchester City defender and Torquay United Head Coach Keith Curle believes that the Gulls can still esacpe relegation this season.

Curle told the BBC, ‘I came into the job with my eyes wide open. I knew then it was going to be a massive task to stay up – and nothing has changed.

‘Results have not been as we’d have liked but the way the players have responded has been very encouraging.’

However Curle, was happy with the point last Friday at Chester, ‘It was nice to be finishing the game on the front foot trying to score goals and that is down to the attitude of the players. It is a big ask for them but they are prepared to rise to the challenge and you can’t ask for any more than that.’

Torquay United host Wycombe Wanderers at Plainmoor on Saturday.
