Torquay up to 6th in the League after a good performance on the road tonight. Goals from Scott Rendell and Elliot Benyon give the Gulls all three points.
In a game between the two newcomers it was a matter of being able to finish which gave Torquay the points as Burton were dominant for long periods of the game.
Rendell opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Elliot Benyon tapped home a Kein Nicholson low cross from a yard out eleven minutes later to secure the win.
Burton played well in the second half but Torquay held on.

Great result and a steady if not spectacular start.
If you could put some more runs together like this one, you sjhould be on your way back up the table.
I think Torquay should look at the youth and reserves at manchester City, they are always loaning out players to get experience at a higher class of football.
