Charnock finally joins Gulls

Torquay and Peterborough agreed a fee for Keiran Charnock along with the deal concerning Scott Rendell over a week ago.

However, Charnock appeared to snub the chance to play in Devon.

It seems that, since a public outburst from Director of Football at Peterborough, Barry Fry, at the weekend, Charnock has reconsidered.

Now it appears that the defender, who has spent last season on loan at rivals Accrington Stanley, will be playing in yellow next year.

Torquay now have 3 new signings this summer with strikers, Ben Joyce and Scott Rendell, and now defender, Charnock.

All the players from the last campaign have re-signed barring Roscoe D’Sane, but lets not go there.

All I say is ‘roll on Saturday’, the nerves are being tested ahead of the opening fixture at home against Chesterfield.

well he didn’t play on saturday. although he had only been here a day and what with tryoing to get out of the deal didn’t do his chances any favours. Maybe against palace he will get a run out.
