Plymouth Star Gets England Call

Chelsea target and Plymouth Argyle youngster Dan Gosling has been called up the England U-17 squad.

The 17-year-old midfielder from Brixham could arguably be a Torquay United player had the youth system stayed in place.

But now playing and scoring goals for our neighbours in the Championship after being linked to Premiership champions and Carling Cup winners Chelsea, the Gulls can only stand by and watch a local talent rise up the ladder.

Gosling has been selected for the national squad ahead of the UEFA Elite Round Tournament, which takes place between March 17 and 29 in Sarajevo.

England play hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan and then Serbia in the tournament.
