Former Manchester City defender and current Torquay United Head Coach Keith Curle was delighted with the Gulls recent victory.
It was Curle’s first victory since taking over and he was full of praise for his team after destroying promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 at Plainmoor.
Marvin Williams scored on his debut as he helped Torquay to three points.
Curle said: ‘We tried to play to Marvin Williams’ strength, and it paid off. The effort levels and application were superb again.
‘They have been there from the start of our time at the club, but we haven’t got the results to show for it until now.
‘It’s not an easy place to adapt to if you don’t come down with the right mentality, but all the players here have done that.’
Well done Keith!
