Burnley Defender and former Gull Wayne Thomas has won the Torquay United vote as the greatest centre-back to wear the yellow shirt over the last 10 years.

The 27-year-old won the race, clocking 33% of your vote.

Alex Watson was second with 19% followed by current Torquay defender Steve Woods who was third picking up 14% of the vote.

Footballer turned actor Jimmy Aggrey was fourth collecting 12% with current captain Craig Taylor and John Gittens both receiving 11%.

Thomas began his career at Plainmoor and made over one hundred league appearances for the Gulls between 1995-2000 before joining Stoke City,
